31-year-old man facing Robbery and Assault charges

Brantford Police Service31-year-old man facing Robbery and Assault charges

Officers with the Brantford Police Service were dispatched to attend a robbery related call at a Marlene Avenue location at approximately 4:40 p.m. on Sunday, January 15, 2023.

It was reported that an interaction between two victims and the accused occurred, where the accused is alleged to have utilized an imitation firearm and physical force to rob the victims of a small amount of money. 

The victims and the accused were known to each other. This was not a random incident.

Additionally, it was determined that the accused was in violation of a court-imposed weapons prohibition.

As a result, a 31-year-old man from Brantford stands charged with the following Criminal Code violations:

  • Robbery 
  • Possession of Weapon 
  • Assault with a Weapon 
  • Disobeying Court Order 
  • Point Firearm

The accused was held for bail.
