Residents in Six Nations can expect an increased police presence in the area related to an investigation into the disappearance of Amber Ellis in 2021.
Ontario Provincial Police say they are at a residence on 6th Line in Six Nations of the Grand River, and they will remain there for the next several days.
There is reportedly no risk to public safety as this is tied to the disappearance of 33-year-old Amber Ellis.
Police say Ellis was reported missing by her mother on March 8, 2021. She was last seen near the end of February 2021 on Six Nations of the Grand River First Nation.
Ellis is described as five-foot-nine, 120 pounds with a thin build, long dark hair and brown eyes.
OPP say she lived at an address in Hagersville before her disappearance. She also has ties to the Brantford, Cambridge, Hamilton and Norfolk County areas.
A $50,000 reward is being offered in hopes of finding Ellis, who police believe may have been a victim of foul play.
The reward is being offered by the Government of Ontario for information leading to the arrest and conviction of anyone responsible for Ellis’ disappearance.
