City of BrantfordBrantford to host Lunch and Learn session in July

The City of Brantford will be hosting a Lunch and Learn session, hosted in partnership with the Grand River Council on Aging (GRCOA), from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Monday, July 10, 2023.

Older adults who reside in Brantford are invited to attend the presentation and consultation session to share their feedback on the 2023 Healthy Aging Passport while enjoying complimentary lunch and refreshments. Feedback from the consultation session will help inform future activities and projects.

“This Lunch and Learn session invites community members to provide feedback on past and present Healthy Aging Passport programs while learning more about the GRCOA and the important work they do in our community,” said Courtney Lebel, Community Development Coordinator for the City of Brantford.

“The GRCOA is in full support of all the activities that the City of Brantford offers to older adults to socially connect with others,” added Lucy Marco, Executive Director, GRCOA. “We are very pleased that the City is providing an opportunity for those with lived experience to provide feedback on past and future offerings.”

As part of the Brantford Healthy Aging Community Summer Project, the 2023 Healthy Aging Passport provides older adults with a wide variety of free activities, workshops and events to enjoy from June 1 to September 15, 2023. The Healthy Aging Passport aims to increase social participation and digital literacy, promote health and wellness, provide community connections, and highlight new and existing programs and activities for older adults within Brantford.
