The City of Brantford invites the community to kick-off the holiday season at the Parade After Party in Harmony Square following the Santa Claus Parade on Saturday, November 25, 2023.
The festivities will begin with a tree lighting ceremony followed by free family-friendly activities with treats and special meet and greet with Santa Claus himself.
“We are thankful to our community partners and sponsors for their support of the Parade After Party,” said Jennifer Middleton, Special Events Supervisor for the City of Brantford. “The City is also grateful to Freedom House for carrying on the tradition of the community’s beloved Santa Claus Parade this year.”
Residents are invited to the official Christmas tree lighting ceremony with Harmony Squirrel followed by free activities including keepsake photos with Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus, meet and greet with the Snow Sisters and live music from Jeff Harding. Enjoy face painting, carnival treats and free hot chocolate provided by Tim Hortons. Stilt Walker Guinness World Record holder Doug “The Great” Hunt will also be in attendance. Don’t miss the chance to mail letters to Santa and letters with a return address can expect to receive a response in return.
Some downtown road closures will occur for the community to enjoy the Santa Claus Parade. Free parking is available in the Market Centre Parkade (59 Icomm Drive).

Volunteer with us!
The City is currently seeking volunteers to assist with the Parade After Party. Volunteers receive a keepsake t-shirt and high school community hours will apply were applicable. Volunteer opportunities include set-up and take-down, clean-up, and other duties as assigned for various activities. A virtual mandatory training will take place on Wednesday, November 15 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Apply to join the volunteer team online at brantford.ca/ParadeAfterParty. Applications will be accepted until Monday, November 13.
Santa Claus Parade
The Santa Claus Parade, organized by Freedom House, will make its way downtown Brantford from Dalhousie Street at 6 p.m. beginning at Stanley Street, and will end at Harmony Square where the annual Parade After Party will begin. The public is encouraged to line the streets early to save a spot for optimal viewing. To learn more about the Santa Claus Parade please visit freedomhouse.ca/SantaClausParade. If you wish to participate in the parade by walking or to have a float in the parade, Freedom House will be accepting applications until end of day on November 20, 2023.
