Brantford residents kept in the dark due to technical issues

City of BrantfordBrantford residents kept in the dark due to technical issues

City of Brantford scheduled two consultation sessions with residents regarding the Downtown Improvement Task Force on Tuesday, October 19.

The sessions were organized to gather input from residents regarding what the Task Force should be focusing their efforts on.

The first session was scheduled for today at 2:30 p.m. and residents looking to watch the session were unable to. According to information obtained by the Brant Beacon, the meeting went ahead as scheduled but residents were unable to see it live on the City’s YouTube channel due to technical difficulties.

Residents attending the earlier session were given no notice of the technical issues and one hour into the first session, five visitors were still waiting for it to begin.

The Beacon contacted the City of Brantford and an employee said the first meeting will be posted on their YouTube Channel later on today but organizers are hoping the second session, scheduled for 6:00 p.m. today, will go forward as the technical issues are expected to be fixed.
