A resident is facing charges following a multi-vehicle collision on Governors Road East in Brant County.
A member of the Brant Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a multivehicle collision at approximately 5:38 p.m. on January 2, 2024.
Brant County Fire and Emergency Medical Services also responded to the collision. A portion of Governors Road East was closed for approximately one hour.
One of the involved drivers was transported to area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Upon speaking to the driver of the vehicle, the officer administered a roadside Approved Screening Device (ASD) test. Upon further testing, the driver was deemed impaired.
Patrick DARGIE, 39-years-old of Brantford, has been charged with the following:
- Operation While Impaired and,
- Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 Plus)
- Dangerous Operation
The accused has been released and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Brantford on January 18th, 2024.
