Grand Erie District School Board (GEDSB) announced that it has reached agreements with three local labour unions, representing a significant number of educators within the district on Tuesday, February 27, 2024.
All of these agreements were ratified by the Board on February 26, 2024, and the term of the agreements run from 2022 through to 2026.
• OSSTF – Secondary Teachers (ratified by the union February 7, representing nearly 600 staff)
• OSSTF – Professional Student Services Personnel (PSSP) Local (ratified by the union February 22, representing 80 staff)
• OSSTF- Secondary Occasional Teacher Local (ratified by the union February 21, representing almost 200 staff)
“By working together in a spirit of partnership and with a focus on students, we have been able to reach an agreement in the interest of all parties,” said Susan Gibson, Chair of the Grand Erie District School Board. “Our thanks to all of our labour partners involved in these negotiations. These agreements allow us to continue to focus on working together to build a culture of learning, well-being and belonging.”
