The City of Brantford announced a new online booking system for those looking to stay active at the outdoor courts across the municipality on Friday, June 14, 2024.

The Steve Brown Sports Complex tennis and pickleball courts are now open for bookings, with Dufferin Park outdoor courts set to open on July 10.

Steve Brown Sports Complex Outdoor Courts

Open daily from May 1 to October 31 from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m., weather permitting

The Steve Brown Sports Complex outdoor courts at 12 Edge Street offers two tennis courts and six pickleball courts. Residents can pre-book a single court using our new online booking system available at www.Brantford.ca/OutdoorCourts. Courts that are not booked in advance are available on a first-come, first-served basis. We kindly ask players to please respect the posted rules, and limit games to one-hour if others are waiting to play. Pickleball court rentals cost $3.39 per hour, per court and tennis court rentals cost $10.30 per hour, per court.

Dufferin Park Outdoor Courts – opening soon

Dufferin Park outdoor courts will be open daily from July 10 to October 31 from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., weather permitting

The outdoor courts bookings at the newly renovated Dufferin Park at 164 St. Paul Avenue will open on Wednesday, July 10. Pre-booking for the outdoor courts at Dufferin will be available starting Wednesday, July 3. Dufferin Park will have six tennis courts and six pickleball courts for play. Residents are invited to attend the grand opening of Dufferin Park on Sunday, July 14. Details about the event will be released soon.

How to book individual play at the outdoor courts

Residents can pre-book a court at the Steve Brown Sports Complex or Dufferin Park (opening July 10) through Brantford Activenet, or in person at the Wayne Gretzky Sports Centre at 254 North Park Street. Payment can be made online using a valid Visa or Mastercard. Once the court is booked, a permit will be emailed to you. Please ensure you have a print or electronic permit with you when you arrive to play.

How to book groups to play at the outdoor courts

If you are part of an organization looking to book blocks of court time for your leagues, clinics or camps, you can submit an application now to pre-book courts. Once the application is received, City of Brantford staff will review your request and contact you to discuss next steps. More information is available on www.Brantford.ca/OutdoorCourts.
