Drivers who frequent the Wayne Gretzky Parkway (WGP) should be aware of upcoming traffic disruptions on WGP due to a required maintenance construction project being undertaken by the Ministry of Transportation (MTO) beginning Monday, August 12, 2024.

This project involves highway reconstruction and maintenance on Highway 403, impacting the Wayne Gretzky Parkway and its intersection with the highway.

WGP Northbound and Southbound Lane Closures starting August 12

Please note traffic will be reduced to one lane in both directions on WGP from the intersection of Morton Ave East to the intersection of Edmondson Street.

This closure will be in effect starting August 12, 2024, and is expected to be completed prior to November 15, 2024.

“We understand that this may cause inconvenience and delay for those traveling through the area, and together with MTO, we sincerely appreciate your patience and cooperation during this time,” said the City of Brantford in a statement. “Thank you for your understanding as we work to improve our infrastructure for a better driving experience in the future.”
