Brant OPPBrant County OPP charge four people after four separate Intimate Partner Violence investigations

Several individuals have been charged following investigations into four separate incidents of intimate partner violence.

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Brant County Detachment responded to a report of an assault after-the-fact in the County of Brant at approximately 10:56 a.m.  on Monday, September 23, 2024.

As a result of the investigation, a 34-year-old from Milton has been charged under the Criminal Code with:

·             Assault – Spousal

·             Assault

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice located in Brantford, Ontario at a later date.

On Thursday September 26, 2024, at approximately 8:20 p.m., members of the Brant County OPP were dispatched to an address in the County of Brant and initiated an investigation.

 As a result of the investigation, a 37-year-old from Brantford has been charged with the following offence:

 ·             Assault – Spousal (2 Counts)

 The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice located in Brantford, Ontario at a later date.

Members of the Brant County OPP were dispatched to an address in the County of Brant for an assault investigation at approximately 8:18 a.m. on Sunday September 29, 2024.

It was determined that a dispute took place within a residence, resulting in two individuals being physically assaulted.

As a result, a 42-year-old from the County of Brant was charged with the following offences:

·             Assault with a Weapon – Spousal

·             Assault

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice located in Brantford, Ontario at a later date.

On Sunday September 29, 2024, at approximately 6:14 p.m., Brant County OPP members were dispatched to an address in the County of Brant and conducted an investigation.

It was determined two individuals became involved in a dispute at the residence, resulting in property damage and one individual being assaulted.

As a result, a 32-year-old from London has been charged with the following offences:

  • Mischief – destroys property or damages property
  • Assault – Spousal

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice located in Brantford, Ontario at a later date.
