After receiving a complaint about a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot of a local business, an Ohsweken resident has been arrested and  charged.  

Six Nations Police were notified of a stalled vehicle at a local business on Indian Line at approximately 8:25 a.m. on Sunday, September 1, 2024.

Police, along with Emergency Medical Services responded to the incident. The information provided was that the occupant of the vehicle was asleep behind the wheel in the driver’s seat with the ignition running. Once officers arrived, they were successfully able to awaken the occupant without incident. Once the occupant was out of the vehicle, signs of impairment were observed.  

As a result of the investigation, police have arrested and charged, Liam AARON  (24 years old) of Ohsweken, ON with the following offences: 

– Failure or Refusal to Comply  

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Brantford on October 17, 2024. The vehicle was impounded for seven days, and the accused had his licence suspended for 90 days.
