Brant OPPBrant resident facing Assault with a Weapon charge

An individual has been charged following an investigation at a Paris address in the County of Brant.

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Brant County Detachment responded to a mischief incident on Hartley Avenue in the County of Brant at 1:06 p.m. on Sunday, September 29, 2024.

It was determined that an individual had an interaction with two other people when a weapon was displayed. Further investigation revealed that the same individual constructed a device nearby at which time police were contacted.

Charged with the following alleged offences is 40-year-old Matthew GUARINO of Brant County:

  •     Assault with A Weapon
  •     Traps Likely to Cause Bodily Harm

 The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice located in Brantford on Thursday November 28, 2024.
