Mississauga man facing ten charges after search warrant executed
Members of Six Nations Police executed a Section 487 Criminal Code search warrant at a Chiefswood Road address on September 25, 2024.
During the warrant execution police located a combative male who was taken into custody. A search of the residence resulted in the seizure of cocaine, oxycodone, firearm ammunition, a replica firearm and a large quantity of currency.
As a result of the investigation, Matthew Glac (20 years old) of Mississauga, ON, has been charged with the following criminal offences:
– Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking: Cocaine
– Proceeds of Crime Over $5, 000
– Assault Peace Officer X 3
– Possession of a Prohibited Weapon Contrary to Prohibition Order X 2
– Breach of Probation X 3
The accused was held into police custody pending a formal bail hearing.
Six arrested after police conclude drug trafficking investigation
On October 8th, 2024, Six Nations Police concluded a drug trafficking investigation labelled Project Sideshow by executing Section 11 Controlled Drugs and Substances Act Search Warrants on October 8, 2024.
Six Nations Police, with the assistance of the Brantford Police Service, executed search warrants at six residences located in Brantford and Six Nations, resulting in the seizure of cocaine, hydromorphone, currency and a loaded handgun with ammunition.
As a result of the investigation, Shanna Vanevery (31-years-old), Robert Frank Vanevery (29-years-old), Patricia King (46-years-old), Airlie McKenney (23-years-old) all of Brantford, Ontario and Robert George Vanevery (54-years-old) of Ohsweken, Ontario, have been jointly charged with the following criminal offences:
– Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking: Cocaine
– Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking: Hydromorphone
– Proceeds of Crime Under $5,000
Cameron Grieves (24-years-old) of Brantford, ON, has been charged with the following criminal offences:
– Possession of a Prohibited or Restricted Firearm with Ammunition
– Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
– Possession of a Firearm knowing its Possession is Unauthorized
– Firearm, Weapon, Ammunition: Careless Use X 2
– Contravention of Storage Regulations
– Firearm or Weapon: Possession Contrary to Prohibition Order
McKenney and King were released via Form 10 Undertaking. Shanna Vanevery, Robert F. Vanavery, Robert G. Vanevery and Grieves were held in police custody pending a formal bail hearing.
Six Nations Police charge person with Impaired Operation
Police have arrested and charged an individual at a local business after a complaint was received that patrons arrived at the location possible impaired.
Six Nations Police were advised of suspected impaired patrons at a local business on Highway 54 at approximately 11:10 a.m. on Thursday, September 26, 2024.
The complainant advised that two male occupants of a vehicle appeared intoxicated. Police attended the location and located the vehicle unoccupied. Two male parties approached police and identified themselves to police. After a review of the security footage at the location, it was determined that one of the males was the operator of the motor vehicle.
Based on the interaction with the driver and witnesses at the location, police had reason to believe that the male was impaired by drug. A Standard Field Sobriety Test demand was issued, which resulted in a fail. The second male was released unconditionally from police custody.
As a result of the investigation, police have arrested and charged, Liam KIRBY (20 years old) of Powassan, Ontario with the following criminal offences:
– Impaired Operation
The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Brantford, Ontario on November 7, 2024. The vehicle was impounded for seven days.
Single vehicle collision to leads to several charges
A Brampton resident has been charged following a single motor vehicle collision.
Six Nations Police were advised of a single motor vehicle collision on Seneca Road at approximately 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 3, 2024.
The information provided to police was that the vehicle was driving erratically and entered the ditch. Police responded to the location along with Emergency Medical Services.
When police arrived, there were several individuals standing around the collision. After accessing the scene, police observed that two of the individuals had left the scene on foot. Witnesses were able to identify the two individuals that left as the driver and passenger of the motor vehicle. Police located the two individuals a short distance from the collision, exiting a field south of the collision. Both individuals were assessed by EMS.
As a result of the investigation, police have arrested and charged, Brian Pimentel (37 years old) of Brampton, Ontario with the following criminal offences:
– Impaired Operation
– Alcohol per se Offence “80 plus”
– Dangerous Driving
– Necessaries of Life – Child or Spouse
– Fail to Remain
The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Brantford, Ontario on November 15, 2024. The vehicle was impounded for seven days and the accused’s drivers licence was suspended for 90 days.
Search warrant leads to seizure of fentanyl and loaded gun
Six Nations Police executed a Section 487 Search Warrant at a residence on Seneca Road on October 21, 2024.
One person was arrested. During the search, police seized bulk fentanyl in powder and rock form shapes, drug packaging, currency, a loaded handgun, firearm ammunition and a collapsible baton.
As a result of the investigation, Elizabeth Ruth Beaver (37 years old) of Ohsweken, ON, has been charged with the following criminal offences:
• Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking: Fentanyl
• Proceeds of Crime Under $5,000
• Possession of Prohibited or Restricted Firearm with Ammunition • Firearm: Unauthorized Possession
• Possession of Firearm Knowing its Possession if Unauthorized • Firearm: Contravention of Storage Regulations
• Firearm, Weapon, Ammunition: Careless Use X 2
• Unauthorized Possession of a Prohibited Device
Beaver was held into police custody pending a formal bail hearing.
