COVID-19Food and drink banned from community centres

Due to the increasing number of COVID-19 cases, the Province of Ontario has implemented new restrictions to help reduce the spread. The following updates apply to the County of Brant Community Centres.

Food and Drink Consumption at Community Centres:

As of Sunday, December 19, 2021, spectators will no longer be able to consume food and drinks within the County’s Community Centres.  Masks must remain on at all times.

What does this mean for spectators?

  •        All food and drink must be consumed outside of the building.
  •        Vending machines are available.
  •        The concession stands are closed.

Recreation Programs:

Due to the increasing number of COVID-19 cases, the Province of Ontario has reduced capacity for indoor recreation facilities.

Recreation such as public skates, turf programs and Kinderplay will operate on a first come, first serve basis.  Effective Sunday December 19, 2021, a 40 person capacity limit will be in effect.

As a reminder, as of December 20, 2021, youth 12 – 17 years old are required to show proof of vaccination to enter a recreational facility.

o Note of clarification: For children born in 2010 who are participating in activities that require proof of vaccination, they will be required to provide proof of vaccination 12 weeks after their 12th birthday.
