Brant County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged one individual with impaired operation following a mandatory alcohol screening conducted on local snowmobile trails.

On February 15, 2025, at approximately 2:16 p.m., officers were conducting proactive impaired driving enforcement when a driver was tested and subsequently arrested.

As a result of the investigation, a 53-year-old female from Norwich has been charged with:

  • Operation While Impaired – Alcohol and Drugs, contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.

The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brantford on March 6, 2025.

The Brant OPP reminds motorists and snowmobile operators that impaired driving laws apply to all motorized vehicles, including snowmobiles, ATVs, and boats. The OPP remains committed to removing impaired drivers from roadways and trails to keep our communities safe.
