Canadians from coast to coast headed to the polls to elect a new government and Prime Minister on Monday, April 28, 2025.

The Progressive Conservatives firmly held onto the three ridings in the region.

The Brant Beacon followed the three local ridings on Election Night, which included: Brantford-Brant South-Six Nations, Flamborough-Glanbrook-Brant North, and Oxford. The following are the final (unofficial) results, including the winners in each of the ridings.

Brantford-Brant South-Six Nations (winner in bold):

Larry Brock – Progressive Conservative Party (Incumbent) – 30,164 votes

Joy O’Donnell – Liberal Party – 22,893 votes

Anne Gajerski-Cauley – New Democratic Party – 2,135 votes

Karleigh Csordas – Green Party – 964 votes

Nicholas Xenos – People’s Party – 348 votes

Mike Clancy – Independent – 125 votes

Leslie Bory – Independent – 101 votes

Clo Marie – Independent – 72 votes

Flamborough-Glanbrook-Brant North (winner in bold):

Dan Muys – Progressive Conservative Party (Incumbent) – 28,396 votes

Chuck Phillips – Liberal Party – 22,594 votes

Peter Werhun – New Democratic Party – 1,334 votes

Anita Payne – Green Party – 499 votes

Nikita Mahood – People’s Party – 424 votes

Candidates for Oxford (winner in bold):

Arpan Khanna – Progressive Conservative Party (Incumbent) – 28,433 votes

David Hilderly – Liberal Party – 19,654 votes

Matthew Chambers – New Democratic Party – 2,306 votes

Jacob Watson – Independent – 988 votes

Cheryle Baker – Green Party – 667 votes

Steven Beausoleil – People’s Party – 480 votes

Melanie Van Brugge – Independent – 119 votes

Akshay Varun Raj Vardhan – Independent – 85 votes
