A concerned citizen contacted the Brantford Police Service to report a possible impaired driver in the area of Wayne Gretzky Parkway and Lynden Road at approximately 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 17, 2022.
Officers attended, located the vehicle and the driver, and conducted a traffic stop. In speaking with the driver, officers observed signs of impairment.
The accused was transported in order to provide samples of his breath as required by law. Both samples provided were over the legal limit.
As a result, a 52-year-old man from Brantford, stands charged with the following Criminal Code violations: 
  • Operation while impaired, alcohol
  • Operation while impaired, blood alcohol concentration

Additionally, the accused’s license was suspended, and the vehicle impounded as per law.
