Brantford Fire Department responds to trailer fire

Brantford Fire Department responded to a call at 521 Elgin Street where two 53-foot tractor trailers were engulfed in heavy flames at approximately 2:48 a.m. on Sunday, February 27.

Three pumpers, an aerial and Chief Officer were on scene and remained until both fires were extinguished.

The damage to the trailers is estimated to be $20,000 and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.

The Brantford Fire department reminds residents to practice fire prevention by following the tips available at brantfordfire.ca or by calling their fire prevention department at 519-752-4346 from Monday to Friday between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
