Breau Holland Family makes donation to the Cainsville Community Centre

County of BrantBreau Holland Family makes donation to the Cainsville Community Centre

Ken and Tammy Breau made a significant donation to the new Cainsville Community Centre on Thursday, November 3, 2022.

“On behalf of the Campaign team, I would like to thank the Breau family for making an incredible $75,000 donation to the Cainsville Community Centre,” said Mayor David Bailey. “The Breau family are community builders and we’re so grateful for this gift.”

In recognition of the donation, the beautiful, covered patio will be named the Amanda Holland/Breau Patio in honour of this family. The covered patio is located on the south side of the new community centre.

Ken moved to the community in 1989. Tammy moved with her four children in 2003 and married Ken in 2004. Together, they have six children. The Breau family owns three Dairy Queen locations, one being in Cainsville and two in the Brantford area. Ken’s dream has been to create a better life for his family and his community.

Amanda Holland Breau is the daughter of Ken and Tammy.

“Amanda Holland Breau touched everyone she met. For someone who could not speak or communicate, she spoke volumes,” said Ken. “She passed away October 15, 2019, at the age of 25. I would encourage other members of the community to give back as they can.”

The Cainsville Community Centre will cost $5.1 million dollars to build and it is anticipated to be open in early 2023. The $1.5 million-dollar fundraising campaign is 42% complete.

The single-story building will include a modern and transformable community hall, meeting room, spacious lobby and an outdoor covered patio that can comfortably accommodate 350 people. The Community Centre will blend with the natural environment and showcase sustainable design features such as solar energy, energy efficient fixtures and equipment and electric car charging stations.
