Mann’s Distillery cooks up inaugural SoupFest fundraiser

Local NewsMann’s Distillery cooks up inaugural SoupFest fundraiser

Mann’s Distillery in Brantford is giving back to the community with their inaugural SoupFest fundraiser on Wednesday, March 1.

Tanya Prokomenko, brand ambassador of Mann’s Distillery, said that the event is striving to help with the aftermath of the pandemic within the community.

“It’s no surprise that the rising cost of living is placing more demand on non-profit organizations,” she said. “The idea for SoupFest was to give multiple groups a space and platform to fundraise for their respective organizations. It’s a way for the distillery to acknowledge and support multiple well-deserving non-profits groups. We hope that beyond enjoying delicious soups that it’s also an opportunity for the community to engage directly with the organizations they are supporting.”

The fundraiser will have more than 12 different types of soups for patrons to sample, and funds will go to supporting a list of local organizations.

“There are seven local non-profit groups that are participating in SoupFest; each organization invited serves the Brantford community in a meaningful way,” Prokomenko said. “Manns is pleased to welcome Jaycee Homes, BGC Brantford, Food4Kids Brant Haldimand, Habitat for Humanity Heartland Ontario, The Raw Carrot, Charlie’s Place / Why Not City Missions, and Rotary Sunrise to this year’s event.”

Patrons are invited to drop into the event between five and eight o’clock.  Sample tickets can be purchased at the door the evening of the event. $20 will give you the chance to sample 5, 5 oz soups.

Mann’s Distillery is one of the area’s newest distilleries and their team plays with different flavours, exploring new tastes, and using a wide selection of botanicals that include everything from a plant – the roots, the leaves, the stems, the seeds, the flowers, and the fruit.
