21-year-old Paris man facing Assault charge after incident

Brantford Police Service21-year-old Paris man facing Assault charge after incident

Officers received a report of an assault that had occurred at a Shellard Lane location at approximately 7:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 25, 2023.

Police were advised that while a man was inside a convenience store located at Shellard Lane and Blackburn Drive, a man is alleged to have attempted to gain entry to the victim’s parked vehicle.

When the victim confronted the accused, he is alleged to have been assaulted. The victim sustained minor injuries.

The accused is reported to have left the scene on foot, and attended a nearby home, located on Bricker Court, where he caused a disturbance, hitting the door and yelling at the resident inside the home.

Officers attended the scene and attempted to arrest the accused. The accused resisted arrest.

As a result, a 21-year-old man from Paris, stands charged with the following Criminal Code violations and was held for bail: 

  • Assault
  • Cause Disturbance 
  • Resist Arrest
