Officers with the Brantford Police Service were dispatched after receiving a report of an assault that had occurred at a King George Road location at approximately 10:45 p.m. on Friday, March 31, 2023,
It was reported that a man had allegedly assaulted a taxi driver and damaged the vehicle after refusing to pay the fare.
Officers attended, and as a result, a 49-year-old man from Brantford was arrested and stands charged with the following Criminal Code violations:
- Assault
- Mischief Under $5000
- Transportation Fraud
