Officers with the Brantford Police Service conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle travelling on Brock Street on Wednesday, April 9, 2025.
Three men were within the vehicle. As a result of a traffic stop by Brantford police patrol officers, the three men were arrested, brass knuckles and illegal drugs were seized.
The driver of the vehicle did not have a valid license and was currently wanted by the Brantford Police Service on an unendorsed warrant.
Officers observed a bag containing a white, powdered substance in clear view. Additionally, search incident to arrest located suspected crack cocaine and multiple cell phones in the possession of the male passengers.
As a result of the traffic stop, the following illegal drugs were seized by patrol officers:
•Approximately 22.7 grams of suspected fentanyl
•Approximately 10 grams of suspected crack cocaine
•Approximately 24 tablets of dilaudid
•Brass knuckles
•Multiple cell phones
The men were arrested, and charged as follows:
A 41-year-old man from Brantford stands charged with:
•Unauthorized Possession of Weapon
•Possession for the Purpose Schedule I – Other Drugs Possession Schedule II – Other Drugs
•Probation order: non-compliance
•Firearm or weapon: possession contrary to prohibition order x2
A 41-year-old man from Brantford stands charged with:
•Possession for the Purpose Schedule I – Other Drugs
•Unauthorized Possession of Weapon
•Probation order: non-compliance
•Firearm or weapon: possession contrary to prohibition order x4.
And a 42-year-old man from Brantford stands charged with:
•Possession for the Purpose Schedule I – Other Drugs,
•Possession Schedule I – Cocaine
•Unauthorized Possession of Weapon
•Firearm or weapon: possession contrary to prohibition order
•Drive While Suspended x2.
All three accused were held for a bail hearing.
