Branford Police Service Major Crimes Unit continue to investigate a stabbing and seek suspect information from the public.

On Thursday, December 27, 2021, at approximately 11:15 p.m., officers with the Brantford Police Service responded to a residence on Gladstone Avenue after receiving a report of an assault.

Officers attended the location and located a female victim within the residence who had sustained multiple stab wounds. 

The victim was transported to hospital where she received treatment for non-life-threatening injuries.

Police are currently seeking any information that may lead to identifying the suspect(s) responsible for this assault. A description of the suspect(s) is not available at this time. As a result of initial information received, police believe there is no threat to public safety.
