Brant County Health Unit (BCHU) provided its daily COVID-19 update. All statistics are as of today, Thursday, December 30 at 11:00 a.m.
Currently, there are 629 total active cases with 150 new cases being reported in the last 24 hours and seven hospitalizations.
Since the pandemic began, BCHU has reported 5,385 total confirmed cases, 4,724 total resolved cases and 32 deaths.
In other COVID-19-related news, Grand Erie District School Board announced there was 1 elementary school case reported in the district in the last 24 hours as a positive case was confirmed at Seneca Central.
The Province of Ontario reported 13,807 new cases and eight deaths on Thursday. There are currently 965 people hospitalized with COVID-19 and 200 people in ICU.
