COVID-19Brant County Health Unit Weekly COVID-19 update

Brant County Health Unit (BCHU) provided its weekly COVID-19 update on Tuesday, September 20, 2022.

Currently, there are 100 total active cases with 80 new cases being reported in the last seven days. Currently, there are 14 people hospitalized due to COVID-19.

Since the pandemic began, BCHU has reported 11,319 total confirmed cases, 11,134 total resolved cases and 85 deaths.

Currently, there are three COVID-19 outbreaks declared at long-term care facilities, retirement homes and congregate living settings. Locations with COVID-19 outbreaks include: Salvation Army Brantford- Booth Centre with ten cases, St. Joseph’s Lifecare with seven cases and AbleLiving in Paris with three cases.

Brantford General Hospital has a COVID-19 outbreak on the B6 Unit with ten patients having COVID-19.
