Brant County OPP charge Woodstock man with Theft

Brant OPPBrant County OPP charge Woodstock man with Theft

members of the Brant County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received complaints regarding an individual taking merchandise from a retail business on Grand River Street North in Paris at approximately 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday, July 17, 2024.

A description of the suspect was provided to the police. Upon arrival, officers observed a male matching the provided description. The male was detained and subsequently arrested.

Michael Johnson, a 46-year-old male from Woodstock, Ontario, has been charged with the following:

  • Theft under $5000
  • Fail to comply with a probation order

Johnson has been released and is scheduled to appear in court on August 29, 2024, at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brantford.
