Norwich man charged after theft of farm tractor
Brant County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has arrested one individual following the theft of a farm tractor in Burford.
On Friday, March 7, 2025, police responded to a report of a theft in progress. A witness observed two individuals removing a tractor from a storage container on a neighboring property.
Through investigation, police determined that the owner of the property had not given permission for the removal of the tractor.
Officers arrested 36-year-old Michael Munday of Norwich in connection with the incident. The accused has been charged with the following offences under the Criminal Code of Canada:
- Theft of Motor Vehicle
- Failure to Comply with Prohibition Order
- Possession of Break-In Instruments
- Break and Enter – Commit Indictable Offence
The investigation remains ongoing as police attempt to identify additional suspects.
St. George resident facing Impaired Operation charges
Brant County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged a driver following a single-vehicle collision on Pinehurst Drive near Glen Morris Road West on Monday, March 10, 2025.
At approximately 11:08 p.m., police received a report of a vehicle that had rolled into a ditch. Upon arrival, officers observed the vehicle resting on its side with significant damage.
As a result of the investigation, a 26-year-old male, Jamie Henderson, of St. George has been charged with:
- Operation While Impaired – Alcohol
- Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 Plus)
The accused was released from custody with a court date scheduled for March 27, 2025, in Brantford. The driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days, and the vehicle was impounded.
Brant OPP lay charges after single-vehicle collision
Brant County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged a driver following a single-vehicle collision on Shellard Lane on Sunday, March 9, 2025.
At approximately 8:36 p.m., officers responded to a report of a vehicle that had left the roadway and entered a ditch. Upon speaking with the driver, officers observed signs of impairment. The driver was arrested and transported to the Brant County OPP detachment for further testing.
As a result of the investigation, 19-year-old Lakishan Kanthan of Mississauga has been charged with:
- Operation While Impaired – Alcohol
- Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 Plus)
- Dangerous Operation
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Brantford on March 27, 2025. The driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days, and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.
Brant County OPP investigating theft of stolen vehicle
Members of the Brant County OPP responded to a report of a stolen vehicle from a property on McQueen Drive, Paris on Monday, March 10, 2025.
A blue 2023 Ford Raptor R, valued at approximately $180,000, was stolen overnight.

The vehicle was last observed in the driveway at around 7:00 p.m. by the complainant. The truck was later confirmed to have been in the driveway until around 9:00 p.m. by a neighbour’s security camera.
Brant County OPP conducted a canvass of the area, including speaking to neighbours with security cameras, but no footage relevant to the theft was located.
Given the recent pattern of high-end vehicle thefts in the area, the Brant County OPP Crime Analyst has been consulted. Police are requesting the public’s assistance in identifying any individuals involved in this theft.
Hagersville woman facing Impaired Operation charges
Brant County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged a driver with Impaired Operation following a traffic stop in the early morning hours on Sunday, March 9, 2025.
At approximately 3:17 a.m., an officer observed a vehicle swerving and crossing into the oncoming lane on Cockshutt Road before turning onto Sour Springs Road. A traffic stop was conducted, and the driver was arrested after exhibiting signs of impairment.
As a result of the investigation, 32-year-old Alisha Hill of Hagersville has been charged with:
- Operation While Impaired – Alcohol
- Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 Plus)
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Brantford at a later date.
