An investigation conducted by the Brant County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Community Street Crimes Unit (CSCU) along with the Oxford County OPP CSCU, Haldimand County OPP CSCU and the Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau (OCEB) has resulted the recovery of 2 stolen/re-vinned vehicles, a large quantity of cash, a quantity of suspected cocaine and a quantity of suspected psilocybin with a total value exceeding $180,000.

A search warrant was executed at a residence on Madeline Road in Brant County resulting from an investigation involving stolen/re-vinned vehicles on Thursday, January 25, 2024,

As a result of the investigation, police recovered a stolen 2022 Chevrolet Corvette, and 2021 Honda CRV.

The estimated value of the drugs in $1,500.

The estimated value of the 2 recovered vehicles is over $163,000.

Scott RESENDES, 36-years-old, from Brant County has been charged with:

  • Three counts of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime – Over $5,000.
  • Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking.

The accused was processed and later released from custody with a court appearance scheduled at the Brantford Ontario Court of Justice.
