Brant OPPBrant OPP charge individuals with Spousal Assault

Brant County detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to an address in Paris, in the County of Brant, to a reported assault involving intimate partners at approximately 1:33 p.m. on Thursday, October 24, 2024.

At the conclusion of the investigation, a 44-year-old from Brant County has been charged with the following offences:

·      Assault – Spousal

·      Forcible Confinement

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Brantford on a future date.

On Thursday, October 24, 2024, at approximately 11:23 p.m., the Brant County OPP members launched an investigation into an incident of Intimate Partner Violence (IPV) in the town of St. George, in the County of Brant.

As a result of the investigation, a 22-year-old from Brant County has been charged with the following offences:

·      Assault – Spousal

The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Brantford on a later date.
