Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Brant County members responded to a report of a stolen vehicle at a Highway 5, St. George address on Thursday, July 14, 2022.

Sometime between 10:00 p.m. Wednesday evening and 7:00 a.m. Thursday morning, unknowns attended the address and entered an unlocked SUV located on the property. Once inside, unknowns located the keys and subsequently stole the vehicle.

The SUV is described as a black coloured, 2021, Honda Pilot with Ontario plates, CWKF653. A stock photo is attached to this release.

Below are some simple steps to help reduce the number of stolen vehicles and protect you as the vehicle owner:

  • Do not leave your keys in your vehicle.
  • Do not leave your vehicle running.
  • Lock your vehicle.
  • Treat your keys like cash – Don’t leave keys in places where they are easy to steal such as a gym locker, on your desk at work, in an open purse or unattended in a shopping cart.
  • Never leave anything in your vehicle in plain view such as loose change, cell phones, cameras, clothing, gifts, cigarettes, medication, firearms, or any other valuables.
