Brant County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is continuing to seek information from the public in connection with the disappearance of Robert William COMMU, who was last seen on March 31, 1996, in South Dumfries Township.

At the time of his disappearance, Robert was 29 years old and was known to frequent areas along the Grand River. He was reported missing after he could not be located, and initial search efforts at the time did not result in locating him.

Investigators have interviewed family members, coworkers and associates. Police also received reports that Robert may have been last seen with two unidentified males in a pick-up truck in the days leading up to his disappearance. If anyone has any information about these two males or relating to Robert’s disappearance, they are being is asked to contact investigators at 1-888-310-1122.

The Brant County OPP continues to follow up on all leads and is working with the National Centre for Missing Persons and Unidentified Remains (NCMPUR) to explore all available avenues.

Robert William COMMU is described as follows:

  • Height: 183 cm (‘6’0’)
  • Weight: 82 kg (180 pounds)
  • Hair: Long, brown
  • Eyes: Blue
  • Distinguishing mark: Tattoo of a lion with wings on his right upper arm
  • Last seen wearing: A white leather jacket with black sleeves and a red maple leaf on the back
