Brantford Bulldogs traded goalie Tristan Malboeuf to the Kitchener Rangers in exchange for two conditional draft picks on Thursday, September 28, 2023.
In exchange for Malboeuf, the Bulldogs received the Rangers 2026 seventh selection and the Rangers 2027 fifth selection.
Malbouef, an Oakville product, was originally selected in the 15th round, 290th overall in the 2020 OHL Priority Selection Draft. Earning his way to the Ontario Hockey League and signing with the Bulldogs in 2021, Malboeuf has played 33 games in the OHL posting a 3.44 GAA and an .894 save percentage, including a pair of shutouts, including one in his first OHL start while also being part of the Bulldogs 2022 OHL Championship team.
“Tristan Malboeuf is a tremendous example of what hard work & perseverance can bring” said Bulldogs General Manager Matt Turek. “We are very proud of what Tristan has accomplished and thank him for his contributions to the Bulldogs organization both on and off the ice and
wish him nothing but the very best as he continues his OHL career with the Rangers.”
