Robert and Lynor Gilks of Brantford are $1 million richer after winning with the INSTANT ULTIMATE scratch ticket.

Robert and Lynor were one of the top prize winners from the draw held on December 31, 2022.

The married couple who are parents and grandparents, said they’re weekly lottery players and have been playing for 20 years.

“I heard my son running and screaming downstairs while I was asleep. I thought something was wrong with the dog, but it was actually his reaction to him and Robert checking the ticket!” Lynor said. “It hasn’t sunk in yet. I still can’t believe it.”

“I always wished to have won the lottery and it’s so unbelievable for this to happen,” Robert added.

They plan to pay off their mortgage, complete some home renovations and help their son with their winnings.

“This will make retirement easier,” Robert said.

“We might celebrate with some Chinese food,” Lynor concluded.

As Robert and Lynor begin to enjoy their $1 million windfall, the people of Ontario are also benefiting from the sale of the $100 INSTANT ULTIMATE game. 100 per cent of profits generated from sales of INSTANT ULTIMATE and OLG products, are reinvested into Ontario.
