Local NewsBrantford Lions Club to host Ride to Thrive event

The Brantford Lions Club will be hosting their annual Ride to Thrive Event on Saturday, August 13.

All riders of motorcycles, motorbikes, trikes, Spyders, and adventure bikes are welcome to attend the event, which is in support of Participation Support Services and Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA).

“This ride is to help raise money and awareness for these two local services that help our community in many ways. Please join us for a great day, terrific people, and a nice lunch afterwards,” said Ron Byrne, member of the organizing committee.

The ride will take place on August 13, 2022, with registration beginning at 9:00 am. Participants will meet in the parking lot of the Starbucks located at 320 Colborne St West in Brantford. Brantford Lions Club will be in attendance to assist with registration along with members from Participation Support Services and CMHA so you can hear more about what they offer to help support the Brantford community.

The ride will make four stops at various motorcycle and recreational shops with a final stop at the Brantford Naval Club (Navy Club) located at 54 Wadsworth St. in Brantford. At the final stop there will be a light lunch, prizes and thank you gifts for those who have registered and participated in the ride.

The ride will begin promptly at 10 am with the whole group taking a short ride by the Participation Support Services to show the support to the residents of the program. After this short tour, the ride will follow a set route to reach all the stops. Riders can choose to ride with the group or ride in smaller groups or as lone riders making sure to attend each of the stops to get a signature on your Ride to Thrive Rider Passport.

Please join the Brantford Lions Club for a wonderful day in support of local services to the Brantford Community.
