Brantford man charged after single vehicle collision

Officers with the Brantford Police Service were dispatched to attend a single motor vehicle collision on Brant Avenue.
A vehicle had left the roadway and collided with a pole at approximately 9:45 p.m. on Monday, January 31, 2022.
Officers arrived on scene and, in speaking with the driver, observed signs of impairment.  The accused was arrested for Operation while Impaired by Drug.
 
The accused was submitted to a Drug Recognition Expert Examination, as required by law, and was found to be impaired.
As a result of the investigation, a 29-year-old male from Brantford, stands charged with Operation while Impaired by Drug contrary to the Criminal Code. 
Additionally, a license suspension was issued and the vehicle impounded as per law.
