Brantford man facing Impaired Driving charges

Brant OPPBrantford man facing Impaired Driving charges

An officer from the Brant County OPP observed a vehicle being operated in a manner that raised concerns about the driver’s ability to safely maintain control at approximately 12:35 a.m. on Thursday, January 16, 2025.

A traffic stop was conducted on Kiev Boulevard in the City of Brantford. As a result of the investigation, Grzegorz Rutkowski, 37, of Brantford, has been charged with the following offences:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Driving a motor vehicle with an open container of liquor

The accused has received a 90-day driver’s license suspension, and their vehicle has been impounded for seven days.

Rutkowski is scheduled to appear in court on January 31, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. at the Brantford Court of Justice to answer to the charges.
