As a result of two separate and unrelated investigations launched by the Brantford Police Service Internet Child Exploitation Unit (ICE), a 55-year-old Brantford man has been arrested and is facing child pornography charges.
Members of the Brantford Police Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit executed two search warrants, one on March 31, 2025, and another on April 2, 2025, at separate addresses in Brantford after receiving tips through the National Centre for Missing and Exploited Children.
Officers seized multiple computers, cellphones, and electronic devices during the course of the search and in the process of performing a follow up investigation. Detectives working in the ICE Unit found evidence of child pornography on the various devices.
As a result of the investigation, a 55-year-old male from Brantford was arrested and held for a bail hearing on Wednesday, April 2, 2025.
The accused is facing a charge of Accessing Child Pornography, and two counts of Possession of Child Pornography contrary to the Criminal Code.
The Brantford Police ICE Unit are continuing their investigations. Police believe that further individuals will be arrested, and charges laid as they continue their investigation and forensically examine the seized electronic devices. Anyone with information related to these cases or has information relating to sexual crimes against children are urged to call the Brantford Police ICE Unit at 519-756-7050.
