On Thursday, October 27, 2022, at approximately 4:00 p.m., officers with the Brantford Police Service were dispatched to the Brant Crossing Skate Park, located on Icomm Drive, after receiving a report of an armed man.

Officers attended and located the accused, who was arrested without incident.

Investigation determined that the accused had fired a pellet gun at the location while several children were using the skate park. No injuries were reported.

Search incident to arrest located the pellet gun, which was seized by police.

As a result, a 28-year-old man from Brantford stands charged with: 

  • Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose contrary to the Criminal Code
