Members of the Brantford Police Service Uniform Patrol Section arrested a 36-year-old Brantford man after executing a search warrant at a West Street property on Wednesday, June 12, 2024.

Over $150,000 worth of construction tools and equipment were recovered by police and returned to the owner. The equipment was reported stolen on June 11, 2024, from a break and enter that had occurred at a construction site in a nearby jurisdiction. 

The search warrant was executed at the West Street property and the items, which included a towable power generator, trailer, various construction tools and equipment, were recovered. The total value of the equipment recovered was approximately $150,000. 

The accused was located and arrested at the West Street location.

Members of the Brantford Police Service High Enforcement Action Team were involved with the execution of the search warrant and the investigation. 

As a result, a 36-year-old Brantford man stands charged with the following violations of the Criminal Code:

  • Break & Enter
  • Theft over $5,000
  • Possession of Stolen Goods over $5,000

Additionally, the accused was found to have three outstanding warrants and was held for a bail hearing.
