Brantford resident charged in crash on Highway 6

CrimeBrantford resident charged in crash on Highway 6

A 24-year-old Brantford resident is facing multiple charges in connection with a two-vehicle collision near Caledonia on Tuesday, July 23, 2024.

Ontario Provincial Police say the crash happened around 4 p.m. on Highway 6 near Fifth Line.

Only minor injuries were reported. Investigators say the driver and passenger of one of the vehicles involved ran away from the scene.

Both of them were found and one was taken into custody.

Police charged Jahvon LaSalle with six offences, including assault, dangerous operation and failure to stop after an accident.

The accused remains in custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cayuga on July 30.
