A 22-year-old Brantford man and a 22-year-old Brantford woman have been arrested and are facing child pornography charges after an investigation launched by the Brantford Police Service Internet Child Exploitation Unit (ICE).

Members of the Brantford Police Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit recently executed a search warrant at an address in Brantford after receiving a tip through the National Centre for Missing & Exploited Children.

Officers seized multiple computers, cellphones, and electronic devices during the course of the search and performed a follow up investigation. Detectives working in the ICE Unit found evidence of child pornography on the various devices.

As a result of the investigation, on June 25, 2024, a 22-year-old male and a 22-year-old female, both of Brantford, were arrested and held for a bail hearing. The two accused are each facing a charge of Accessing Child Pornography, contrary to the Criminal Code.

The Brantford Police ICE Unit are continuing their investigation. Anyone with information related to this case or has information relating to sexual crimes against children are urged to call the Brantford Police ICE Unit at 519-756-0113.
