Brantford to upgrade transit pads and shelters

The City of Brantford will begin to upgrade and replace a number of transit pads and transit shelters over the coming months.

New solar powered transit shelters will be installed as the municipality continues to build a more sustainable and modern Brantford Transit service that improves the customer experience. Notices will be posted in advance at transit shelter locations that will be impacted advising riders of potential service disruptions.

The following replacement schedule is tentative and may be impacted by weather conditions. Riders are advised to prepare for inclement weather conditions while new transit shelters are pending installation.

  • Group 1 – May 2 to May 11, 2022
    • Bus Stops: 676, 390, 389, 477 and 449
  • Group 2 – May 11 to May 20, 2022
    • Bus Stops: 533, 555, 565 and 549
  • Group 3 – May 24 to June 2, 2022
    • Bus Stops: 730, 732, 406 and 757
  • Group 4 – June 2 to June 10, 2022
    • Bus Stops: 702, 701, 705, 706 and 698
  • Group 5 – June 13 to June 22, 2022
    • Bus Stops: 799, 794, 788 and 786
  • Group 6 – June 22 to June 30, 2022
    • Bus Stops: 830, 770, 772, 774 and 633 
  • Group 7 – July 4 to July 13, 2022
    • Bus Stops: 430, 738, 410, 401, 402 and 240

While these upgrades will be completed as soon as possible, there may be a short period of time where some stops are without a transit shelter.
