Brantford Transit to offer free rides for seniors in June

City of BrantfordBrantford Transit to offer free rides for seniors in June

Brantford City Council approved a motion to offer free conventional transit for seniors (50 years old or more) in celebration of Seniors Month this June during their regular meeting on February 28, 2023.

From June 1 to 30, riders can take advantage of free travel from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. any day of the week. Seniors wishing to take advantage of free transit must travel with a valid photo ID and present it upon boarding.

“As we celebrate Seniors Month this June, we are honoured to offer free transit to our seniors who have contributed so much to our community,” said Mike Spicer, Director of Fleet and Transit Services for the City of Brantford. “Providing access to safe and reliable transportation is essential to supporting their well-being and independence. We hope this initiative will help our seniors to stay connected, engaged, and active in Brantford.”
