City of Brantford, in partnership with the Brantford Youth Council, is inviting musicians and artists between the ages of 15 and 25 to showcase their talents at the third annual Brantford Youth Excellence Awards on Wednesday, May 7, 2025.
The Brantford Youth Excellence Awards honour the achievements of local youth and are held annually during Brantford Youth Week. Nominees for the Brantford Youth Excellence awards are selected by local community organizations and celebrate excellence in the following key areas:
- Community and Leadership
- Diversity and Inclusion
- Impact
- Well-being and Growth
“The Brantford Youth Excellence Awards is an opportunity to showcase the incredible talents of young people in our community,” said Taylor Berzins, Community Initiatives Coordinator for the City of Brantford. “We are looking for passionate and talented youth performers to take the stage and share their artistry. Last year, seven talented youth were selected to perform and display their work, and we’re thrilled to once again celebrate Brantford youth talent.”
Musicians are required to perform two acoustic songs, while visual artists may display up to three pieces of artwork. Artwork must be printed, framed or on canvas, and ready for wall display. Up to five musicians and five artists will be selected, with each chosen participant receiving a $50 gift card to a local business of their choice. Interested youth must complete the City’s application form by Friday, April 11, 2025.
