The County of Brant has launched the fundraising campaign for the Cainsville Community Centre.
“Belonging is incredibly important to our overall wellbeing,” said Mayor David Bailey. “It is a fundamental human need. As our world shifts, it is time to come back together and safely share precious events like weddings and family gatherings and participate in our favourite social club activities. We’re better together. The new community centre will not only serve the Cainsville community but the County of Brant, as a whole.”
The community centre will be designed with nature and comfort in mind. Approximately 9,200 sq.ft, the single story building will include a modern and transformable community hall, meeting room, spacious lobby and an outdoor covered patio that will host many unforgettable events. 350 people can be accommodated in the new Community Centre.
The Community Centre will blend with the natural environment and showcase sustainable design features such as solar energy, energy efficient fixtures and equipment and electric car charging stations.
Reid and Deleye Contractors Ltd. was awarded the $5.1 million dollar construction tender.
The $1.5 million dollar fundraising campaign has been launched to help offset the total building costs. The campaign working group is currently seeking major donors and those looking to build up their community.
“We are looking for those who can make a significant investment in the community,” said Bailey. “There are several naming opportunities available and we invite those who are interested to contact the Campaign team to discuss the possibilities.”
