County of Brant unveils new Brant Transit app

County of BrantCounty of Brant unveils new Brant Transit app

County of Brant unveiled it’s new transit app on Wednesday, December 20, 2023.

Starting today, residents can book rides for January 2 through January 16, 2024 with the new Brant Transit app.

“Get around the same locations you’re familiar with — and enjoy easier bookings! Download the new app today, visit www.brant.ca/Transit to learn more!”

Ready to start?  Here’s what you need to know:

1. Create an account. Download the new Brant Transit app and sign up with your name, phone number, and email address.

2. Plan 1-14 days ahead. You can now book rides for January 2- January 16. Starting January 2, bookings open 14 days before the day you want to ride and end at 9:00 pm the night before. Make sure to schedule your ride at least one day in advance!

3. Book a ride in the app:

  • Enter your pickup location and your destination
  • Select the number of passengers
  • Tap schedule and choose either when you want to depart from your pickup location or when you want to arrive at your destination.
  • Choose the ride that works best for you and click book this ride.

What else is changing?

1. No more recurring rides. Make sure to book each ride you need in the app. This keeps the service moving efficiently!

2. Booking window. When booking, choose a trip option of either “Arrive by” (to your destination) or “Depart at” (your pick-up location). There is a 15-minute window if you choose the “Arrive by” option. This means that you can arrive at your destination up to 15 minutes before your scheduled time. There is also a 15-minute window if you choose the “Depart at” option. This means that your ride can arrive up to 15 minutes before or 15 minutes after your scheduled departure time but don’t worry, you will receive reminders!

3. Text message reminders. You’ll receive a text message reminder at noon the day of your ride — as well as 30 minutes and 5 minutes before. You can also monitor your driver’s arrival for pickup in the app.

4. New app reminder. Riders will need to download the new Brant Transit app to book their rides. Riders can call 226.773.9347 to book over the phone and an online booking option will be available later in January – stay tuned for updates. Ride availability will be the same across all platforms. For example, if you call in, you will receive the same information that is included on the app.

So download the new app today! We look forward to bringing you smoother rides around the County of Brant!
