Building on the success of last year’s initiative in Brantford, Jesse and Cortney Buchan, Owner/Dealer of J&K Home Building Centre, Warren’s Home Hardware in Burford, and Waterford Home Building Centre, is proud to announce the expanded “Fill the Truck” food drive, now encompassing all three locations.
“As a proprietor of locally owned and operated businesses, our teams’ commitment to community support remains unwavering. After the positive response to last year’s Fill the Truck Food Drive in Brantford, we are thrilled to extend the initiative to all three of our locations, partnering with our teams in Waterford and Burford. Together, we aim to make an even greater impact in addressing the needs of the local Food Banks at such a critical time of year for many,” said Jesse Buchan.
This collaborative effort ensures that families in Brantford, Burford, and Waterford can access essential supplies during the holiday season and beyond.
“When you support local, local supports you,” explained Jesse.
All three locations will be accepting non-perishable food donations until December 18, 2023.
To maximize the impact for the Food Banks, the following items are suggested as the most needed:

- Canned Meat
- Canned Beans
- Crackers
- Canned Fruit
- Canned Vegetables
- Canned Soup & Stew
- Pasta & Sauce
- Cereal
- Infant Formula
- Shampoo & Conditioner
- Toothpaste, Toothbrushes & Deodorant
- Paper Towels, Trash Bags & Laundry Detergent
- Toilet Paper & Menstrual Care Products
- Diapers, & Wipes
- All Varieties of Cleaning Products
- Pet Food, Treats & Litter
The teams at J&K Home Building Centre, Warren’s Home Hardware, and Waterford Home Building Centre encourage the public to participate in this joint effort by contributing non-perishable food donations to whichever location is closest to them this holiday season.
