The Six Nations Police have arrested and charged an individual for failing to stop at the intersection.  

On Saturday, January 25, 2025, at approximately 7:15 a.m., while on general  patrol the Six Nations Police observed a motor vehicle fail to stop for the posted stop sign at Fourth Line Road and Onondaga Road. The officer conducted a traffic stop of the vehicle and spoke to the lone male driver. While speaking with the driver, signs of impairment were observed. Upon arrest, the male was brought to the Six Nations Police detachment to provide a sample of his breath. The male refused to provide a sample.  

As a result of the investigation, police have arrested and charged Matthew Turner (33-years-old) of Ohsweken, with the following criminal and provincial offences: 

– Dangerous Driving 

– Impaired Operation 

– Failure or Refusal to Comply  

– Drive Motor Vehicle – No Licence  

– Disobey Stop Sign – Fail to Stop  

The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brantford, Ontario on March 7, 2025. The vehicle was impounded for seven days.
