An Ohsweken resident has been charged with multiple offences following a traffic stop on Tuscarora Road.  

Members of the Six Nations Police were on patrol when they observed a motor vehicle driving erratically at approximately 3:05 a.m. on Friday, June 14, 2024.

Police activated the emergency lights and sirens to conduct a traffic stop. The driver pulled to the side of the road and as Police  approached the vehicle, they observed a lone female occupant of the vehicle. Officers observed signs of impairment.  

As a result of the investigation, police have arrested and charged Holly STYRES (34 years old) of Ohsweken, Ontario with the following criminal  offences: 

– Impaired Operation 

– Alcohol per se Offence  

The accused was also issued a Provincial Offence Notice under the Liquor Licence Act. The accused’s drivers’ licence was suspended for 90 days,  and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.

The accused is scheduled to  appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Brantford at a later date.
